Howard & Howard Attorney Appointed to the Financial Review Team for the City of Pontiac

Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, April 2008: Howard & Howard Attorneys, P.C. would like to announce that Timothy M. Wittebort, of Clarkston, Michigan, has been appointed by Governor Granholm, to the financial review team that will examine the city of Pontiac's finances. Mr. Wittebort was the designee of the Speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives. The team is expected to examine the economic condition of the city to determine if a financial manager is necessary to balance the city's budget and eliminate the debt.

Mr. Wittebort concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate, commercial lending, municipal and mergers and acquisitions. He received his Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University in 1985 and his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School in 1988, where he was an Assistant Editor of the Wayne Law Review.

Mr. Wittebort has broad experience in business, transactional and financing matters. He has represented property owners, commercial lenders, privately held companies, publicly held companies, and municipalities in various facets of acquisition, disposition, financing and leasing. He has particular experience in representing downtown development authorities and downtown redevelopment projects.

Mr. Wittebort is a frequent author and lecturer on a variety of business and professional topics including downtown redevelopment and real estate and corporate financing. He is also active in community and charitable organizations including the Pontiac Neighborhood Revitalization Corporation and the Oakland County Mainstreet Advisory Board. Mr. Wittebort is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association.
