Jeffrey P. Chalmers
|
Mr. Chalmers concentrates his practice in business, finance, construction law and in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, leasing, real estate financing, commercial and industrial development. He was a founder, former director and general counsel for Portage Commerce Bank. He is a director and past President of the Board of Directors of Hospital Hospitality House of Southwest Michigan, Inc. Mr. Chalmers served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Bronson Health Foundation from 1995-2003.
Mr. Chalmers received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Michigan State University and his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law.
In law school, he received the American Jurisprudence Book Award for Estates and Future Interests and the Michigan Consolidated Gas Company Scholarship Award for “Excellence in the Study of Law.”
