Timothy E. Kraepel
|
Mr. Kraepel's areas of practice include corporate law, securities and mergers and acquisitions. He regularly advises clients on issues of entity formation, financings, securities issuances (public and private), mergers and acquisitions, and dissolutions. He also advises reporting companies with respect to their obligations under the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and assists and prepares regulatory filings required of public corporations. Mr. Kraepel has also served as underwriter's counsel in connection with public securities offerings and regularly advises companies in connection with private placements of securities. He is a designated 504 Closing Attorney with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Mr. Kraepel was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1994. He received a B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1986, an M.B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Detroit in 1989, as well as a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 1993. Mr. Kraepel also spent one year in Purdue University's Master of Science in Management program. Prior to joining Howard & Howard, he spent four years in the Investment Banking Division of Michigan National Corporation and two years in NBD Bancorp's Mergers and Acquisitions Department.
Mr. Kraepel is a member of the American Bar Association, its Business Law section and its Committee on the Federal Regulation of Securities. He is also a member of the State Bar of Michigan and its section on Business Law. Mr. Kraepel is admitted to practice in the state of Michigan and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
